- When and why did you join the Kingston team?
I joined Kingston in November 2015. I was a recent college graduate from Pittsburg State University’s Graphic Communications program and was looking to join a company where I could kickstart my career in the direction I wanted to go. Kingston was the perfect opportunity for me to start that experience, and I’ve enjoyed growing here ever since.
- What is your favorite part about your job?
I love that I get to be a part of bringing our customer’s works to life and making them a reality – it’s rewarding for me to take part in the transformation of digital files into final, finished products.
- Coolest print project you ever worked on and why?
I’ve been fortunate enough to work on a lot of really cool projects during my time at Kingston – one of my favorites that we produced was a ‘Weight Gain Equivalency Wheel’ for Hills Pet Nutrition – it was a 3-piece spinning wheel that showed you the conversions of dog and cat weight gains into human pound equivalents. Fun fact – 4lbs of extra weight on a Siamese cat = 50lbs of weight gain on a human!
- Favorite machine and why?
I really like the Kongsberg cutting table in our Wide Format department. There’s so many cool possibilities that machine can produce – anything from custom-shape stickers to 3D puzzles.
- Any tidbits about yourself outside of work – kids? Hobbies? Fun facts?
I’m a Tulsa, Oklahoma native, and am the only person out of my immediate family that does not live in the Tulsa metro area. I make regular trips back to Oklahoma at least once a month to spend time with friends and family. My hobbies include any outdoor activities, video games, and hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy running, and ran track for 10 years of my life – starting in 7th grade and finally hanging my shoes in May 2015 after a successful collegiate track career at Pittsburg State.
