Meet another member of the hardworking Kingston team!
It’s always a special thrill to get to learn a little more about the wonderful employees who keep the presses rolling and the ink flowing.
Read on to learn more about John’s travels and interests; we think you’ll agree with his choice of favorite machine at Kingston!
1. What is your favorite part of your job at Kingston?
The favorite part of my job is constantly adapting and learning new things. Starting a complex project and getting the help/knowledge from our machine operators, estimators, project managers, mailing pros, vendors, customers and salespeople keeps me energized.
2. What is the coolest Kingston project you have been a part of?
My favorite projects are ones that involve something that really make the final project pop. I love jobs with die tracings, foils, embosses, varnishes, etc.
3. What is your favorite machine at Kingston?
4. What are you passionate about outside of work?
In 1997 my wife and I bought a house built in 1890 in downtown Kansas City. We have spent years remodeling it doing the majority of the work ourselves. I also love woodworking, metal working, creating, restoring antiques, biking and taking care of our koi pond. Until the pandemic we would also travel outside the U.S. Our last trip was a ten day trip thru the Netherlands. We started on a barge in Amsterdam and then everyday we did a 30 plus bike ride in a different city with a group of about two dozen people from all over the world. We ended in Bruges and took a train to Brussels and then on to Paris.
5. Any tidbits about yourself outside of work – kids? Hobbies? Fun facts?
No kids but we have a fur baby, Fiona – a German Shepherd rescue we adopted from MOGS (Missouri German Shepherd Rescue).
We’re so glad to have John on the Kingston team! Thinking about joining the fantastic team here at Kingston? Check out our employment page now!
