Our latest Face of Kingston is Bindery Manager, Bill Buckbee.

Bill thrives on efficiency and problem solving here at Kingston. He also stays busy with his family, especially as a Cubmaster in the Cub Scouts! Learn more about Bill below.

1. When and why did you join the Kingston team?
I joined Kingston in the summer of 2019. A trusted friend had told me many times that Kingston was a great company that’s growing and always changing and I would fit in well.

2. What is your favorite part about your job?
Commercial print is challenging and always changing. I really enjoy finding the next faster or better way to produce custom finished pieces for the customers.

3. Coolest print project you ever worked on and why?
One of the projects I’m most proud of was a production of a piece that I was able to automate what in the first run was a tedious time intensive hand work job. We added a tip in device to a line, sized, wrapped and labeled, increasing output by 10 times with better quality.

4. Favorite machine and why?
My favorite machine at Kingston is the plotter cutter in wide format. There’s no limit to what I can dream up and have made to create time savers.

5. Any tidbits about yourself outside of work – kids? Hobbies? Fun facts?
I have a wife and 3 kids. Wife Jennifer is a Para at SMNorth HS, studying for her masters in Special Education from Pittsburg State. Brianna is at Pittsburg State studying to be a teacher. Scouting keeps the boys and I very busy. Brett is almost ready to get his Eagle Scout rank. Benjamin finished Cub Scouts and is in his first year as a Boy Scout. I’m the Cubmaster for Pack 3247, and a leader in Troop 247. Like I said, busy.

We’re glad to have you as part of our team, Bill!
